Frequently asked questions
How much does Invisalign cost in Glendale, AZ?
Invisalign cost at Glisten Dental Glendale ranges from $2,500 for Invisalign Express (minor corrections, 3-5 months) up to $7,000 for Invisalign Full comprehensive treatment (12-18 months). Teen Invisalign runs $3,500-$6,500. New patients starting treatment within 30 days of consultation get $500 off. Most insurance plans cover $1,000-$2,500 of orthodontic treatment.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Most patients finish Invisalign in 6 to 18 months. Minor corrections (Invisalign Express) can complete in 3-5 months. Average comprehensive adult treatment takes about 12 months. You wear each aligner tray for 1-2 weeks, switching at home, with check-in visits every 6-10 weeks.
Is Invisalign really invisible?
Invisalign aligners are made of clear, thin medical-grade plastic. Most people won't notice you're wearing them in normal conversation. A few Invisalign cases require small tooth-colored attachments on some teeth to help the aligners grip — these are barely visible up close but stay on during treatment. If complete invisibility matters most, we can discuss lingual braces (behind the teeth) as an alternative.
Does Invisalign hurt?
Invisalign is significantly more comfortable than traditional braces. You'll feel pressure (not pain) for the first 1-2 days after switching to a new tray, which fades as your teeth settle. There are no sharp brackets or wires to cut your cheeks. Over-the-counter pain relievers handle the initial soreness if needed.
Can I eat with Invisalign in?
You remove Invisalign aligners to eat and drink anything other than water. There are zero food restrictions. Remove, eat, brush your teeth, rinse the aligners, pop them back in. You must wear aligners 20-22 hours per day for the treatment to work — so meals and rinsing should take less than 2-4 hours total per day combined.
Will my insurance cover Invisalign?
Many Arizona dental insurance plans cover part of Invisalign treatment as orthodontic care. Typical lifetime orthodontic benefits are $1,000-$2,500. Delta Dental of Arizona, Cigna, Aetna, BCBS of Arizona, and most PPO plans include orthodontic coverage. Bring your insurance card to your free consultation and we'll verify your specific benefits.
Am I too old for Invisalign?
There is no age limit for Invisalign. We regularly treat adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, age is not a limiting factor. Many adult patients were told as kids they didn't need braces and are now fixing issues they've been self-conscious about for decades.
What happens after Invisalign treatment ends?
You will wear retainers after active Invisalign treatment to keep your new smile stable. Typically we recommend nightly wear for the first year, then 3-4 nights per week long-term. Teeth naturally want to shift throughout life — retainers prevent that movement. We provide your first set of retainers in your treatment plan.
